Cesc Fabregas, Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola Sing "Wish You Were Here" As He Signs For Barcelona
The Cesc Fabregas Arsenal/Barcelona love triangle/transfer saga which has run for nigh on three years now finally looks to have come to an end. The Spanish midfielder put the last nail in his career as an Arsenal player when he chose to forego a £5 million bonus from the North London side. From there, negotiations were easy.
Here is a transcript of the final transfer negotiation between Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Cesc Fabregas to the tune of "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd.
Wenger: So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
Guardiola: Blue sky's from pain.
Wenger: Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
Fabregas: A smile from a veil?
Guardiola: Do you think you can tell?
Wenger: And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Guardiola: Hot ashes for trees?
Wenger: Hot air for a cool breeze?
Fabregas: Cold comfort for change?
Guardiola: And did you exchange walk on part in the war?
Fabregas: For a lead role in a cage?
Guardiola: How I wish, how I wish you were here.
Wenger: We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
Fabregas: Year after year,
Guardiola: Running over the same old ground.
Wenger: What have we found?
Guardiola: The same old fears.
Fabregas: Wish you were here...
