Shamrock Rovers and U2 Combine To Take On Juventus In The Europa League
Almost one year since they opened their new stadium with a friendly against Real Madrid, Shamrock Rovers will entertain another giant of European Football on Thursday as Juventus travel to Tallaght to take on the Hoops in the Europa League.
Rovers 1-0 win away to Israeli outfit Bnei Yahuda has set the club up with a bumper pay day against Luigi Del Neri's Juve side. The result sparked wild celebrations amongst their 100 strong travelling contingent in Tel Aviv, and is one more step in the right direction for the club who almost went out of existence in 2005.

Shamrock Rovers Beat Bohemians 1-0 in Tallaght and the Title Race is On
Padraig Amond scored the only goal in Shamrock Rovers win over defending champions Bohemians last night to move the Hoops two points clear from Bohs at the top of the Eircom Premier League with only six games to go in this seasons campaign.
The match was a tight, tense affair that only really came to life in the final 10 minutes after Rovers had taken the lead.
