Manchester City's New Jersey Blunder: Sponsored by United!

Apparently Manchester City have released pictures of what next season's jersey is going to look like. It's the usual sky blue. A nice jersey. Nothing really stands out as being spectacular, until you get to the sponsor.

With ADUG at the helm, and millions if not billions of oil money being readily available for Mark Hughes (if he's there long enough) to launch a title bid. Manchester City's owners have decided to advertise one of their local airlines.

Etihad is one of the world's best airlines, anyone that has been lucky enough to have flown with them will testify to their friendliness and professionalism. For City, it's a match made in heaven.

Associated with one of the world's leading brands. What could go wrong?

Well, nobody really checked to see what Etihad means.

In Arabic, Etihad means: United.

Yes, you read that right.

From next season, Manchester City, are going to be sponsored by United.

How the die hard fans will take this hammer blow is anyones guess. But you've just got to laugh.

I know that every time City take to the field in their new jersey, United fans all over the globe will be chuckling softly.

Will City's fans be happy?

Considering how most of them despise United so much, you've got to guess no. But if they want their team to make any money from the jersey's—thus making the club richer—they'll have to buy them.

A catch-22 situation if there was ever one. It is a nice jersey though.
