Roy Hodgson's Liverpool career is so fresh that the ink has barely dried on his contract. The popular manager has had to endure a trial by fire in his first weeks on the job. But just as he is getting his feet under the table there is a very real chance that he could be sacked.
Make no mistake about; six points from six games for a club with the stature of Liverpool is just not good enough. However, the most discouraging part of the Reds start to the season has been the manner of their performances; ranging from passable to abject.

Sobering Weekend for EPL Teams With Champions League Aspirations

Week Six of the EPL season provided huge insight into the main contenders and pretenders for the Premier League title.

Manchester City beat Chelsea in the first heavyweight bout of the season, while Arsenal amazingly slipped up against West Brom at the Emirates.

Liverpool's poor start to the season continued as Spurs lurched to defeat at West Ham in what is already looking like an incredibly inconsistent year ahead for Harry Redknapp's team.

Neymar da Silva Santos Junior is without doubt the most famous 18-year-old footballer on the planet. The prodigious striker has many suitors. However, following a bust-up of biblical proportions with his manager last week, it would appear as if Chelsea dodged a bullet when their £25 million offer was turned down.
The famous incident with Dorival Jr. came about after the youngster was taken down for a penalty against Atletico Goianiense. With Neymar having missed Santos' last three penalties, Dorival decided to chose another player for the vital spot-kick.
As the penalty was scored Neymar berated Dorival and his team mates on the bench from a height in a tantrum that a two-year-old would have been proud of. Everyone was shocked, from team mates to opponents, especially his manager.

Asamoah Gyan helped Sunderland to a share of the points with Wigan at the weekend as he scored on his "perfect debut."
The goal made him an instant hit on Wearside with the Black Cats' vocal support. It did not do him any harm with his teammates either.
However, he had already made his way into their hearts after Darren Bent asked him to sing for the team on the eve of the match. A little known fact about the powerful Ghanaian striker is that he has also produced a number of rap songs under the pseudonym of Baby Jet.

At the end of last season, the one position that everyone agreed that Arsenal needed to strengthen was goalkeeper.
Simply put, Manuel Almunia is not of title winning calibre. So why hasn't Arsene Wenger moved to replace his much maligned net-minder? Does he have a phobia against goalkeepers!?
