Fergie: Manchester City Are "A Small Club With a Small Mentality" But...
The build up to next season has well and truly kicked off in Manchester. With just over three weeks to go to this year's EPL curtain raiser, the two halves of Manchester have become embroiled in a tit for tat affair while their two teams are separated by half the planet.
This whole new round of jibes between the clubs was initiated when Carlos Tevez left United after two successful seasons to join city rivals Manchester City. David Beckham vs. MLS : American Soccer Comes Of Age
US soccer came of age in a big way this summer.
Most will point out to the fact that Team USA took a huge step when losing 3-2 to Brazil in the final of the Confederations Cup, and they would be right to a point. But the display given to David Beckham by his own fans, shows that US soccer fans have taken a massive stride and grown up too.
James McCarthy Signs for Wigan: How Did the Latics Tempt the Prodigy?
Ireland U-21 international, James McCarthy has chosen to join Roberto Martinez's revolution at Wigan. He signed on the dotted line after Hamilton Academical's and the Latics agreed upon a fee which could rise to £3 million.
Martinez had pin pointed the youngster as one of his primary targets right from the moment he took over for Steve Bruce, who moved to Sunderland. With a large hole left in central midfield following Wilson Palacios' move to Tottenham Hotspur, the new Latics manager moved quickly to bring in one of the most sought after young talents in Britain.

While Manchester United fans all over the world tell themselves that CR7, or CR9 as he is now known - Cristiano Ronaldo to you and me - left because he always wanted to play for Real Madrid, and that their time together was always counting down.
And as Rafael Benitez now strives to hold onto his two main midfielders, as they both make it known that they would like to follow CR9 to the sunnier climes of Spain.
